Music productions entrusted by the Client to the Provider (SARL VFP) for mixing or mastering remain the exclusive property of the Client. SARL VFP acquires no copyright, neighbouring right or exploitation right over the works it processes. The Provider undertakes not to distribute, reproduce or exploit the Client's productions in any way without the Client's prior written consent.
SARL VFP nevertheless reserves the right to cite the artists and productions it has worked on as commercial references, unless the Client expressly objects.
Purpose & Services
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (T&Cs) govern the contractual relationship between SARL VFP (hereinafter "the Provider") and any natural or legal person (hereinafter "the Client") wishing to use the services offered on sonaxis.fr.
SARL VFP provides the following professional services:
- Stereo & stems mixing: processing of the digital audio tracks supplied by the Client (balance, panning, equalisation, compression, effects) to achieve a coherent, consistent mix.
- Analog mastering: finalisation of the stereo track for release (streaming, CD, vinyl, broadcast) on a professional analog chain (Pultec, Alan Smart C2, Pendulum OCL-2, Prism Lyra 2).
- Stems mastering: mastering from several mix buses (stems) for a more precise result.
- Recording: recording in an acoustically treated live room (drums, vocals, acoustic instruments) at 70 rue de la Fraternité, 93170 Bagnolet.
- Archiving & audio restoration: restoration of audio files and vinyl records in high definition (24-bit / 192 kHz).
- Loft residency: accommodation adjoining the studio for multi-day sessions.
- Online sessions: services carried out remotely, with secure file upload and digital delivery.
The Provider carries out sound engineering work on the material supplied by the Client. This work can in no way replace the work of a composer or arranger. The Provider only intervenes once the musical arrangement is final.
Price list
All prices are in euros including VAT, at the rate applicable under current regulations. SARL VFP is registered for VAT under number FR 70 313 413 486. The prices below are indicative and may be adjusted by quote depending on the complexity of the project.
Each service includes 2 rounds of revisions per track. Any additional revision is charged at a rate set in writing by the Provider. Work-in-progress files are delivered as MP3. Final high-definition files are delivered as 24-bit WAV once payment has been received in full.
Orders & Payment
An order is deemed validated, and the contract concluded, on the date full payment, or a deposit agreed in writing between the parties, is received. The Provider confirms the order by email, specifying the service, the price and the delivery terms.
Accepted payment methods:
- Secure online payment via Stripe (CB, Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Bank transfer (details provided with the quote)
- Cheque payable to SARL VFP (clients resident in France only)
- Cash, for services carried out in the studio only, within the applicable legal limit
Online payments are processed by Stripe Inc., a PCI-DSS certified provider. SARL VFP does not store any of the Client's bank details. By providing their card details, the Client authorises the debit of the order amount.
For complex projects (albums, extensive restoration, multi-day studio sessions), a 50% deposit is payable on order, with the balance due before delivery of the final files.
Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, a consumer Client (a natural person acting outside any professional activity) has 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract to exercise their right of withdrawal, without giving reasons or paying penalties.
However, under Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for services fully performed before the end of the withdrawal period whose performance began with the consumer's prior express consent and express waiver of their right of withdrawal.
In practice: once the Client has supplied their audio files and the Provider has started work (mixing, mastering, restoration), the service is considered to be in progress. The Client is informed of this condition before any work begins and expressly accepts it when confirming the order.
To withdraw before any work has started, the Client must notify their decision by email to contact@sonaxis.fr or by post to the registered office. The refund will be made within 14 days of receipt of the notification.
Business clients (B2B): the 14-day statutory right of withdrawal does not apply. Cancellation terms are those set out in Article 9 of these T&Cs.
File delivery
Online services are delivered digitally. Indicative turnaround times are as follows:
| Service | Standard turnaround | Express turnaround |

| Stereo mastering (1 track) | 3 to 5 working days | 48h (+30%) |
| Mixing (up to 10 tracks) | 5 to 7 working days | 48h (+30%) |
| Complex mixing (>10 tracks) | 7 to 14 working days | On quote |
| Audio restoration | On quote | On quote |

Turnaround times start from receipt of all the Client's audio files AND of payment. Work-in-progress versions are delivered as MP3 via secure transfer (WeTransfer, private link or similar). The final high-definition version (24-bit WAV) is delivered once the balance has been paid in full.
The Provider reserves the right to refuse to process any file whose technical quality is insufficient for a professional result. In that case the Client is informed in writing and a pre-production quote may be offered.
Revisions, Cancellations & Disputes
Included revisions: each standard service includes 2 rounds of corrections (feedback by email). Any additional revision is charged at a rate agreed in writing beforehand. Revisions cover technical adjustments and do not constitute a complete rework.
Cancellation by the Client: any recording session cancelled less than 5 working days before it starts is payable in full. For online services, if the order is cancelled after work has started, the deposit paid is retained by the Provider.
Cancellation by the Provider: in case of force majeure (illness, major technical failure, unforeseeable event), the Provider will inform the Client as soon as possible and offer a replacement slot at no extra cost. No compensation may be claimed on this basis.
Mediation: in accordance with Articles L.616-1 and R.616-1 of the French Consumer Code, SARL VFP is a member of a consumer mediation service. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, a consumer Client may use mediation free of charge by contacting CNPM – Médiation de la Consommation, 27 avenue de la Libération, 42400 Saint-Chamond, France. EU online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Jurisdiction: for disputes between professionals, the competent courts are those with jurisdiction over the registered office of SARL VFP (Commercial Court of Bobigny). French law applies.
Limitation of liability
The Provider undertakes to use all means at its disposal to ensure the technical quality of its services. It is bound by an obligation of means, not of artistic result, as mixing and mastering involve a degree of subjectivity inherent to sound engineering.
The Provider cannot be held liable for: loss or corruption of the Client's files caused by a malfunction of third-party transfer systems (WeTransfer, etc.); an artistic result that does not meet the Client's subjective expectations after the included revisions; improper use of the delivered files by the Client.
The Client is solely responsible for the lawfulness of the works submitted for processing (copyright, neighbouring rights, performers' rights). SARL VFP cannot be held liable for any infringement of copyright or neighbouring rights committed by the Client.
The Client is strongly advised to keep a backup copy of all source files before sending them to the Provider.
